‘Stop Poisoning Yourself’–Urged Students of Shahajpath School

An Awareness Raising Campaign was organized by Environment and Social Development Organization- ESDO for the students of Sahajpath School on 10th April, 2018 at the school premises. The event was started at 11:30 am and continued to 2:30 pm. The aim of this campaign was to encourage the students to avoid products containing mercury and to stand against mercury containing products with the purpose of protecting our environment from heavy metal pollution and ultimately to establish a sustainable environment. The students participated at the event with intense interest and passion where they were edified about the harmful effects of mercury and suggested to alternate mercury containing products into safer one. Afterwards the students were asked to develop awareness messages and posters which they accomplished excellently. ESDO is trying to circulate awareness messages all over the country regarding mercury pollution through this kind of campaign.
