$25m for women development in Bangladesh

Green Climate Fund has approved almost US$25 million in grant funding to support the efforts of UNDP towards development of women and adolescent girls in Bangladesh.
The grant will be extended to the UNDP’s project ‘Enhancing adaptive capacities of coastal communities, especially women, to cope with climate change induced salinity’ set to begin in July.
The project will provide assistance to 39,000 women and girls in Satkhira and Khulna to adopt resilient livelihoods, said a press release of the UNDP issued today.
