ESDO had arranged a mobile campaign on “Building Toxic Plastic Free Environment in Bangladesh” on 14th February 2021 in some distinct places of Dhaka city
Dhaka, 15 February, 2021: To make the people aware of the hazardous effects of toxic plastic, Environment and Social Development Organization- ESDO had arranged a day-long mobile campaign on “Building Toxic Plastic Free Environment in Bangladesh” on 14th February 2021 in some distinct places of Dhaka city.
The campaign had started from TSC, University of Dhaka at 10 am. Dividing into some groups, team members of ESDO gathered public opinions about the effects of plastic and collected their signatures through this campaign. Most of the people had appreciated this initiative taken by ESDO and expressed their concern over the harmful consequences of plastic waste on the environment. They appealed to the government to stop the production of plastic immediately and make its alternative products readily available to the mass people.
The spontaneous participation of the people in this day-long mobile campaign was very significant. More than five hundred people signed in solidarity with the campaign. Starting from TSC, the campaign passed through New Market, Shimanto Square, Rabindra Sarobar and finally ended up at the Parliament House at 4:30 pm.
