Dhaka University campus declared plastic-free


The Dhaka University campus was declared free from polythene and plastic wastes at a prgramme held at the Curzon Hall of the university on Friday.

In presence of the environment, forest and climate change minister Md Shahab Uddin, DU vice-chancellor M Aktaruzzaman, pro-VC Muhammad Samad and other teachers, students took oath to keep the campus free from plastic waste and to dedicate them for conserving nature in the greater interest of the earth.

The students, teachers and government officials also took part in the cleaning programme at the Curzon Hall of the university. It was jointly organised by the department of environment and the Nature Conservation Club of the Zoology department of the university.
